Verse IV – Exploration
Men explored ever so deeper
Outside their country, and further
To the West, they found the endless ocean
Rich in fishes, beautiful and ancient
To the East they found the great sea
Wider than what the eye could see
The South was fully clouded in shadow
Under the Orange Moon, none dared to go
And from the North, not one man who went
Ever came back to his home to tell
Mysteriously ill the King fell
On his throne he died, in pain bent
After him the Kingdom would be known
For he was the first to bear its crown
Tigan, home of King Hartigan
Tigan, land of the first human
***
Eliza, his first daughter, became the first Queen
On her frail shoulders fell the lands of in between
The death of her father she suspected
Came from an enemy undetected
She knew not why how or who did the coup
But to the North she sent another group
And again, none returned…
